A Day at Kidtastic Adventure
At the beginning of each day, everyone will begin the day in the Gym for our Opening Rally. This is the location where each child will checked in and out by their parent or guardian each day. From there, each grade will rotate between five different activities: Storytelling, Fun & Games, Craft, Snack and Small Groups. At the end of the day they will return to the Gym for the Closing Rally.
Rally
Each day the Opening and Closing Rally’s will include music, the Spy Kids: Search for Truth daily video with Agents pen & Stone, fun challenges, and a boys v’ girls penny contest. All monies raised will be used for a special kid approved Mission Project.
Storytelling
This rotation is the time when kids will hear the Bible Story and how it applies to their own life. Our wonderful Storytellers will communicate the story to the kids in an engaging way, and kids will participate in activities that relate to the story.
Small Groups
Kids will spend time in their own small group and have time to connect what they just learned about the daily Bible story to their daily life. This is their chance to ask questions about the story, and about who Jesus is, what He did, and why it matters.
Fun & Games
The name says it all. This is the time to let loose and have fun while participating in large group games, water days and bounce houses.
Crafts
Kids have the chance to get creative by participating in a large array of various hands-on activities and make special projects to take home.
Snack
Each day kids will have a break from all of the excitement to have a snack. Snack and allergy information is available upon request at Kidtastic Adventure. Please check the FAQ’s for our Snack and Allergy Policy.
How will my child be checked in and out?
Every day, the child’s parent or guardian will escort their child into the Worship Center, where they will be greeted by their child’s small group leader, and initial the sign-in sheet to confirm that their child is here for the day. When Kidtastic Adventure is over, the parent or guardian must return to the Worship Center and initial the sign-out sheet to claim their child. If somebody other than the child’s parent or guardian is picking up the child, they must present the small group leader with the child’s security number. People who do not have the security number will not be allowed to check-out the child EVEN IF they are a family friend, etc. Small group leaders can contact a member of the Kids Ministry Team to call the parent to ensure proper pick up.
When will my child receive their T-shirt?
On the first day of Kidtastic Adventure, your child will receive their T-Shirt, a wristband that they will wear all week so we can identify which group they belong to, and another wristband if they have a food allergy.
Should my child bring anything?
Each day your child needs to wear their CAMP SHIRT and WRISTBAND, and shoes they can play and get wet in. We STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOUR CHILD BRING A WATER BOTTLE WITH THEIR NAME ON IT. Bringing a towel is optional. Most kids prefer to air dry rather than carry their towel around all day.
Can my preschool aged child participate in Kidtastic Adventure?
Kidtastic Adventure is only provided for nursery or preschool aged children if their parent is somehow serving at Kidtastic Adventure, and is on the Sunrise Campus for the entire duration. If you are interested in serving, please fill out the Volunteer Interest Form.
What is the Allergy Policy for Kidtastic Adventure?
Sunrise Children’s Ministry is nut free.
We will serve snack each day at Kidtastic Adventure. The product’s nutrition information will be available for parents to review.
If a child is unable to consume the snack provided:
Parents may choose to provide a single serving alternative that is clearly labeled with the child’s name & give to the small group leader to serve. Parents should inform the small group leader that the snack of the day is not safe for their child, and instruct the child to say, “No, thank you.” All snacks must be nut free. We are unable to store snacks for more than one day, so please only provide a single serving snack each day.
Parents who wish to leave a life-saving medication such as an EpiPen or inhaler must complete & sign the medication form available at the registration table. No other medications may be administered, applied or left on campus, including sunscreen.
