OOPS!! - Corrected Day and New Location
Wow, we really messed up on that last invitation. Somehow it had the wrong date...and now we've just changed the location. Thanks to Gina we discovered that Orangevale Park is going to be packed with all sorts of activities during the time we want to meet, and parking would be very difficult. So we're moving to Almond Avenue Park. And the correct date is THIS SATURDAY, September 23rd!!
WHERE
We will be meeting at Almond Avenue Park in Fair Oaks, just 1 mile from the church. From Greenback, turn south on Almond Ave. The park will be a few blocks down on the right.
WHAT TO BRING
Bring a beach/camping chair if you like, maybe some sunscreen, or a hat, and possibly a sweatshirt/jacket, in case it's a little chilly in the morning. We'll be outside for two hours or more.
FASTING
As part of the experience, you are encouraged to fast for at least 16 hours before we gather on Saturday morning. Snacks will be provided to break your fast at the end of our time together.
DON'T MISS IT
If you haven't prayed for an hour at a time before, don't worry! You're actually going to love it! It may be a stretch, but it's worth it. Most people, when they reach the end of the hour, feel like it's not enough time. Don't skip this event. You will be blessed for your time spent with God at the park.
