The past two days have been nothing short of an incredible blessing. As we continued our ministry through evangelism and VBS, we also had the privilege of experiencing the beauty of God’s creation and the power of His Spirit moving among His people.
A New Floor, A New Opportunity for Ministry
Our VBS and evangelism teams continued their outreach, but this time, the church’s beautiful new floor provided a fresh and welcoming space for the children and families we are serving. It was amazing to see the joy on their faces as they played, learned, and heard about the love of Jesus.
Marveling at God’s Creation
We also took time to visit the breathtaking bay of San Quintín—a moment to pause, reflect, and worship the Creator. Seeing His handiwork in the vast ocean and rolling hills reminded us of Psalm 19:1:
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.”
As we soaked in the beauty of our surroundings, we were reminded that the same God who created the mountains and the seas is the One at work in the hearts of the people here in Mexico.
A Night of Worship and Prayer
Tuesday evening, we gathered for our second church service of the week, and it was truly special. Our Sunrise team had the honor of leading worship in both Spanish and English, a beautiful reminder of how praise unites us across languages and cultures.
“Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim His salvation day after day” (1 Chronicles 16:23).
Paul Garcia then shared a powerful message about the blessings of God—even in life’s most difficult seasons—and how those very trials have led him right where God wants him to be. It was a message of hope, surrender, and trust in the Lord’s perfect plan (Romans 8:28).
A Humbling Moment of Unity
To close the night, our Mexican church family surrounded us in prayer, lifting us up before the Lord. It was one of the most humbling and moving experiences of our trip.
This moment reminded us of Revelation 7:9:
“…a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.”
Though we come from different places and speak different languages, we are ONE in Christ. The love of God transcends borders, cultures, and backgrounds, binding us together as His people.
Looking Ahead
As we continue our work, we ask for your prayers:
That God continues to move in the hearts of those we serve
That we remain faithful in sharing the Gospel with love and boldness
That this mission trip leaves a lasting impact, not just for this week, but for generations to come
Thank you, Sunrise family, for being a part of this journey with us. We are so grateful for your support and prayers. Stay tuned—God is not finished yet!
