If our first day of ministry is any indication of what this week will hold, we are in for a powerful move of God. Monday was filled with both hard work and heart work as we divided into our evangelism and building teams, each with a unique mission but the same purpose—to glorify God and share His love.
Building Up the Community
Our building team worked tirelessly, pouring a cement floor and digging a sewage line to improve the church’s facilities. It was a reminder of Colossians 3:23—
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
Sharing the Good News
Meanwhile, our evangelism team hit the streets to serve the local community. They:
Offered prayer to families and individuals
Invited children to our afternoon VBS
Proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ
And here’s the most incredible news—we witnessed decisions for Christ! Heaven rejoiced, and so did we, as we celebrated new brothers and sisters in faith. “There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents” (Luke 15:10).
VBS: A Neighborhood Celebration
After another delicious meal graciously prepared for us, we took the message of Jesus to the streets! With a speaker, a truckload of kids, and a heart full of joy, we invited every child we could find to join our Vacation Bible School (VBS).
And they came—over 30 children showed up at the church!
We spent the afternoon:
– Painting faces
– Coloring and making bracelets
– Playing games
– Singing songs
– Watching our students act out Bible stories
It was pure joy to see these children laugh, play, and hear about Jesus.
Looking Ahead with Expectation
We can’t wait to see what God has in store for the rest of the week. We ask for your continued prayers—that our work would be fruitful, that lives would be transformed, and that through it all, the name of Jesus would be lifted high (Philippians 2:10).
Thank you for journeying with us. Stay tuned—God is just getting started!
Que Dios le bendiga!
